Data Protection & Privacy
Under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that came into force on 25th May 2018, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you and at ideasUK we take the privacy of our members’ data seriously.
For each member organisation, we hold individual names of the lead contacts, their email address and in some cases phone numbers, which have been provided directly from the organisation, either via an ideasUK website contact form or direct email. Only the ideasUK Operations Director, Chairman, Finance Director and Communications lead will be able to access these details.
How data will be used
The personal information held by ideasUK is used for administration purposes and for communicating with you about events and initiatives organised and provided by ideasUK, which include but are not limited to:
- Membership renewal
- Annual conference
- Idea of the Year competition
- Networking events and webinars
- Accreditation
- ideasUK consultancy
We would like to make it clear that:
- We do not hold ‘sensitive’ information on any individuals
- We do not undertake any research or profiling activities on our member organisations
- We will not share your information with any third parties
- We do not buy information from any third parties
IP Addresses
We use IP addresses to analyse the ideasUK website trends, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use to ensure we provide a useful and effective service. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Amending or viewing your data
ideasUK will endeavour to ensure the information we hold will be accurate and up to date. If you have any questions about the data we hold or would like to see what information is held on your organisation, please contact us by email:info@ideasuk.com
Any inaccuracies will be corrected immediately on receipt of updated information.
Removing your data
If you would like to stop receiving emails from ideasUK please contact us by email:info@ideasuk.com and we will immediately remove you from our database.
Changes to Data Protection and Privacy Policy
ideasUK will change and update its data protection and privacy policy in line with any governmental changes to policy. All updates will be posted on this website.
